Right off the 126, this set of falls offer a very manageable and family friendly hike. The parking lot can be tricky, and I have seen many people decide to pull of and park along the highway.
The Sahalie Falls observation deck is wheelchair accessible and only about 100 feet from the parking lot. Koosah Falls, however, is further down the trail form the Sahalie Falls parking lot.
Hiking with snow still covering on the trail an be tricker, and I would certainly not recommend trying to hike downhill without traction shoes. Better yet, I would recommend water resistant hike boots, for traction and to keep your feet dry.
