Beautiful Bessie Butte

Looking for a more challenging hike with a great view? Bessie Butte is a great option! A 1.4 mile hike with a 482 elevation gain (according to AllTrails), this hike will put your legs to work but is still a very manageable and enjoyable hike.

Bessie Butte is located off National Forrest Development Rd 1810, just south of Deschutes River Woods. The times I have went, it was relatively quiet on both the road heading out there and the trail. There are a few other assessable buttes nearby, such as Coyote Butte. However, Bessie in my opinion delivers the best view from the top. Sunsets at Bessie never disappoint!
